Dialogue で
① actually
👉「実は」という表現です。しっかりと覚えましょう。
② That’s typical of Mozart.
👉この “of Mozart” – これは typical に説明を加えているんだと
考えてください。
▶︎ That’s typical -「それは典型的ですね、特徴的ですね」と
まず言い切るわけです。-「何の」典型なのか- それが “of Mozart” で
説明されているのです。
◎この of の使い方、身につけましょう。
③ don’t seem like
👉もちろん、seem like「〜のように見える・思える」- それが否定
されているわけですが、これはまとめて覚えましょう。
「〜のようには見えません」not seem like、don’t seem like
というわけです。
④ all kinds of 〜
👉このフレーズもまとめて覚えましょう。
「すべての種類の〜」というわけです。

Grammar In Action – tough but fair について
Onishi
▶︎So this phrase “tough but fair” is frequently used, right?
Chris
▶︎Yeah, just means it’s difficult. But it’s based on what you
studied before. So it’s fair. You should know all the content
of the test.
Roza
▶︎And no tricky questions.
Ending
Onishi
▶︎So, one of the examples we had was “Chris is a funny
but strict teacher,” OK?
Why don’t you describe me like that?
Chris
▶︎How about “conscientious but boring” teacher?
Roza
▶︎Oh, I have one.
Onishi Sensei is an “ice cream loving and heavy” teacher.
