Roza
▶︎ What do you mean? I’m your friend.
Chris

Dialogue で
① And I just bought it on sale.
👉 on sale これは「セールで」ということですね。
on は、プラットフォーム – 何かその活動のステージみたいなものが、
感じられて、「その上」というわけです。
② What do you mean?
👉さあここの What do you mean? – これは、相手の真意をただす表現ですね。
③ I’m your friend. 【読み方】
👉そして、先ほどの Roza さんの発音、お気づきになりましたね。
I’m your friend. と言って、[ I’m ] そこに大きな強調が加わっていましたね。
こうした会話ならでのは音調、しっかりと自分のものにしてみて下さいね。
④ Such as?
👉 such as は、such as A, B, and C のようにですね、
例を挙げる、そうしたフレーズですね。
⑤ Be my guest.
👉さあ、Be my guest. これは、許可あるいは依頼に対する応答ですね。
ちょっと洒落た表現ですよね。「ご遠慮なく」というわけです。
