2月のテーマも、感情表現

👉今年度は…
「感謝したい」「頼み事をしたい」といった、
発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。

◎1月に引き続き、2月も
▶︎「感情表現」を学んでいきます。
「驚き」「恐れ」「怒り」など、日常頻繁に経験する
基本的な感情表現をマスターし、会話に彩りを添えましょう。

👉感情㉜興奮
▶︎今回は、「どきどき・わくわく」といったポジティブな表現を学びましょう。

会話の場面

登場人物

・大学生のヘレン (Helen) とギャリー (Gary)

状況

・ヘレンとギャリーが、失われたアトランティスが舞台の新作映画を観に行くのですが、なんとその脚本を書いたのは ….

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Akino Roza here.

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. I’ll be your friend if you need.

Dialogue で

① I reserved them online. 【動詞句の後の位置 】
👉 reserve これは「予約する」という動詞ですね。
そして reserved them の後ろに online という単語が出てきています。
▶︎動詞句の後ろに出てきるわけですから、その動詞フレーズの説明、すなわち
副詞の働きをしていることになります。

② I’m pretty thrilled too, actually.【 pretty の意味】
👉さあ、pretty thrilled – この pretty 「かなり」というくだけた表現ですね。

③ Who knows? 【 Who knows? の意味 】
👉さあ、Who knows? 「誰がわかるだろうか、いや誰もわからない。」というフレーズですね。

④ Anyway, it’s going to be a lot of fun. 【 anyway の働き】
👉そして、anyway「ともあれ・ともかく」といって、それまでの文脈の内容を消してしまうような、そうした働きを持っている表現です。

・I can’t contain my excitement.
・I’m stoked for the concert tomorrow.
