発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。
などへとゆっくり進めていきます。

◎８月は
▶︎「発言タイプ」ー【引き出す】【感情を操作する】を勉強します。
日常頻繁にある情報や許可・意見などを相手から引き出したり、励まして
相手の感情を操作する方法についてです。

▶︎これからの予定について、相手の都合を確認する表現を学びましょう。

会話の場面

登場人物

・ロキシーの父親アダム (Adam)
・ロキシーのおばあさん (grandma)

状況

・成田空港に着いたロキシーのおばあさんが、アダムと電話で話をしています。
おばおさんは、ちょうど入国審査を終えたので、アダムが迎えに行くようです。

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. Akino Roza here.

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans.

Dialogue で

① It‘s Mom.【状況を受ける it】
👉さあ、ここで It’s Mom. という文が出てきました。この it は、電話をかけている
というその状況全体を受けて、「母さんよ」と言っているわけですね。
ここでは、I’m Mom. とは言えません。

② It was fine.【 fine のニュアンス】
👉この fine の使い方ですね。この fine という単語は「濁りがない」「スッキリした」
という、そうしたニュアンスの単語なんですね。従って、「問題がなかった」という
ニュアンスになってくるわけです。

③ I will pick you up at the arrival area in about ten minutes.
【pick 人 up の意味】
👉この文の前半で出てきた pick 人 up という表現。「車で人を迎えに行く」という
表現ですね。もうお馴染みのはずです。

▶︎ OK, everyone. It’s time to practice. I wanna say that it’s important to add
these little confirmation questions after you mention your plans to help
include the other person in the conversation.
So let’s keep that in mind as we practice.
