人をある方向に「動かす」言語活動の②です。-

👉依頼③ 依頼を成功に導く流れ１ー事前の感謝
▶︎「依頼」の成功列をあげる工夫のひとつが「事前の感謝」

会話の場面

登場人物

・異星人のゼイトクス (Zaytox)
・ビーガンラーメン店の経営者キャロライン (Carolyn)

状況

・ビーガンラーメンが大好きなゼイトクスは、研究所を抜け出し、キャロラインの
店にやってきてしまいます。

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. This is Akino Roza. Welcome back 〜！
David! I was wondering where you went.

David
▶︎ I’ve been here the whole time. Hi, everyone. I’m David Evans.
Let’s enjoy today’s lesson. Here we go!

Dialogue で

① I was wondering where you went.【wonder のニュアンス】
👉さあ、I was wondering というフレーズが出てきましたね。
wonder – これは頭に大きな？が浮かんでいることを示す単語です。
「〜かしら」と思っていた、というわけですね。

② It was so boring there.【感情を表す動詞から派生する形容詞】
👉さあ、boring という単語が出てきましたね。感情を表す動詞から派生する形容詞
には、boring, bored など、ing形と過去分詞形があります。
▶︎ ing形が来た時には、感情を呼び起こす対象について話しています。
「それは、とってもつまらなくさせるようなものであった」というわけです。

③ Do you remember a girl named Masami? 【説明をする過去分詞】
👉さあ、ここでは a girl named Masami というフレーズが出てきましたね。
a girl を named という過去分詞が説明している形です。「マサミという名前の」
という意味です。
