会話の場面

状況
・シホがダグに、叔母のアキとピーコック教授が結婚することを話しています。
Opening で
Roza
▶︎ Akino Roza here.
David
▶︎ I’m David Evans. Roza, you can tell me your secret?
I won’t tell anyone. Probably.
Dialogue で
① I’m all ears.【よく使われる表現】
👉この I’m all ears. この文は全体を覚えて下さいね。「さあ、話して下さい。
全身を耳にしていますよ」という雰囲気の文です。よく使いますよ。
② Sure, I won’t tell anyone. Probably.【probably の発音の仕方】
👉さあ、ここの I won’t tell anyone. won’t もちろん will not の短縮形です。
▶︎そして、「多分」を意味する probably – これは、会話の中では違った発音を
している方もいらっしゃるようですが、どうですか、David さん。
David：Sometimes we shorten to “probly.”
Roza：And if you use it in the middle of a sentence, you can say
“proly,” like “you’re proly right.” But it’s very casual.
③ I had a feeling they’d get married.【〜という感じがした】
👉さあ、ここでI had a feeling というフレーズ。
「〜という感じがした」というわけですね。
④ And she’s invited us to their wedding in the UK. 【短縮形】
👉さあ、she’s invited us – これは、she has invited us のことですね。
⑤ Me, too. 【まとめて覚えましょう】
👉さあ、まとめて覚えましょう。Me, too. 「私も」というわけです。

Do you hear that “must stay” kind of connects right there?

・You must promise to keep it yourself, OK?
