▶︎英語は「配置の言葉」- 今回は to 不定詞による修飾 – 説明の加え方
※これもあくまでも「説明ルール」に従っています。
Opening で

Dialogue で
① once
👉 回数表現。once, twice, three times しっかり覚えましょう。
② a long time ago
👉ずいぶん前
③ actually
👉本当に、実際に
④ this was when 〜
👉「この時が〜した時だったのです。」
このコンビネーションを覚えましょう。
そして、when の後ろが平叙文であることにも注意！wh 節です。

👉確かに
dialogue の設定

▶︎ ジェシカがホーキング教授の本を読んでいます。
– ピーコック教授がジェシカに話しかけますが、教授は
ホーキング教授にあったことがあるのかな。

Chris, why “cooking skills”?
Well, you know, there’re all kinds of skills
necessary. And when it comes to cooking.
so it’s quite natural that it should be in the
plural, I think.

内I agree. It’s not just one skill, so
it has to be plural.
Ending で

at Oxford University? He is an Oxford
graduate, right?
Are you serious? Hawking was there
way before my time.
