発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。

これまで培った英語力を会話力にしていきましょう。

Lesson 232 会話の原則⑱：NAGARE 会話を拒否する

👉NAGARE 会話を拒否する
▶︎今回は、会話の流れを断ち切るフレーズを覚えましょう。

会話の場面

登場人物

※スポーツジムでの一場面
・マシンを使って運動中のヨシ (Yosi)
・バーバラ (Barbara)

状況

・ヨシがジムにいたバーバラに声をかけますが、彼は少し恋心を彼女に持っているのかな…

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Akino Roza here.

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. Ah 〜, jujitsu. I get it.

Dialogue で

① You can put it on a higher setting, you know.【 put のニュアンス】
👉ここで、動詞の put が使われていることに注意しましょうね。
put は平たいところに物をポンと置く、それだけではないんですね。
広く使われるということです。

② OK, I’m done. See ya!【 I’m done. の意味】
👉 I’m done. これは「終わりました」という気軽な表現ですね。
▶︎そして、See ya! これは、See you. のことです。

Practice

▶︎ OK, everyone. You’re ready to practice?
These phrases are quite harsh. So be careful when you choose to use them.

David
▶︎ All right. Let’s jump right in.
・Keep out of it.
・Stay out of it.
・It’s not your concern.
・Mind your own business.

Roza
▶︎ Let’s continue.
・Come off it.

David
▶︎ Goo work so far. Some of these phrases may sound a little aggressive.
But that’s the point. So try to match that intonation when you practice.
・Keep your nose out of other people’s business.
・Keep your nose out of my business.
・Don’t stick your nose where it doesn’t belong.
・Don’t stick your nose where it isn’t wanted.
・Butt out!
