発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。

◎11月は
▶︎「発言タイプ」ー【判断を表現する】を勉強します。
私たちが日々行なっている、可能性や重要性、難易、優先などの判断を精度高く
表現することが目標です。

👉優先① 優先の判断
▶︎何を重んじるのか、何を優先しているのかを伝える表現を学びましょう。

会話の場面

登場人物

・南の島で、古民家に住んでいるダグ (Doug) とシホ (Shiho)

状況

・古民家に住んでいるダグとシホが、その家には修繕が必要だねと話をしていますよ。

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. This is Akino Roza.

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. Well, I’ll take green-tinted glasses over rose-tinted
glasses any day.

Dialogue で

① Sure, it’s fine.【 fine のニュアンス】
👉 it’s fine の fine は、まあ「問題がない」そうしたニュアンスですね。

② Of course, it needs some fixing up here and there. 【 need を用いた表現】
👉そして、it needs some fixing up – この need ＋動詞 ing 形を使った「〜を必要としている」
– この形もしっかりと覚えておきましょう。
▶︎ fix up – これは「修繕する」という意味ですね。

③ Who needs a fancy house anyway? 【 fancy の意味】
👉 fancy は、「しゃれた・高級な」を表す形容詞です。

④ I feel the same way. 【 the same way の意味】
👉 the same way これは「同じようなやり方で」というわけですね。
feel を説明している副詞の働きをしています。

⑤ That goes without saying. 【決まり文句の意味】
👉これは、もう決まり文句ですね。「それは、言うまでもないことだ」という意味。
しっかりとまとめて覚えてください。

⑥ As long as I have a roof over my head, I’m happy. 【 as long as 〜の意味】
👉そして、as long as 〜「〜する限り」という接続表現です。

⑦ It’s funny. 【 funny のニュアンス】
👉さあ、ここの it’s funny これは「奇妙なことだね」- strange の意味合いで使っている
funny ですね。

⑧ The grass is always greener, right? 【隣の芝生はいつも青く見える】
👉これはもうまとめて覚えてください。よく使われる言い回しです。

your priority. And we say the highest priority item first. So focus on that
when you try to remember the order of the words you say.
