👉「それ」と訳されることが多い it ▶︎日本語では言葉にあらわれない「受ける」意識

Dialogue で
① How can you speak English?
👉さあ、この how ですね。この how はプロセスを聞いているんですね。
「どういう過程を経てあなたは英語を話せるんですか」そうしたニュアンス
で使われている how です。
② We can speak any language in the universe.
👉さあ、ここでは any language 「どういった言葉であっても」
「なんでも / どれでも」それが any の意味でしたね。
③ It takes only 15 minutes from here to your earth.
👉さあ、ここの It takes の takes ですね、これは「手にとって使う」
というニュアンスで使われた take です。
Practice

▶︎ OK, guys. It’s practice time.
Today we’re focusing on “it.” But it’s helpful to compare with “that.”
Now the basic image of “that” is pointing to something outside while “it” is
the opposite. “It” is “receiver.” It’s a receiver from something, from the outside.
So with that in mind, let’s practice together.

▶︎ It’s a grater.

So keep that in mind.
