◎10月は
▶︎「発言タイプ」ー【さまざまな応答・知識】を勉強します。
「応答」は相手の発言に対するスタンダードな受け答えです。
「知識」はさまざまな「知っているよ」の伝え方。どちらもとっても重要な発言タイプです。

Opening で
Roza
▶︎ Well, that was out of the blue. This is Akino Roza.
David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. I wasn’t expecting you’d say such a thing.
Dialogue で
① Dr. Stein, why did you create me and Frankie? 【 create のニュアンス 】
👉 create – これは、「創造する、今までになかったものを作り出す」という意味の動詞です。
② And out of the blue. 【 out of the blue の意味 】
👉 out of the blue – これは「突然・いきなり」を表すフレーズです。
③ Didn’t you want Frankie and me to be like humans? 【 否定疑問文のニュアンス 】
👉さあ、ここで Didn’t you 〜？- 否定疑問文ですね。「そうじゃなかったの？」というですね、
不審な想いを表す疑問文となっています。

▶︎ All right, everyone. It’s time for today’s practice. I’m sure all of us at some point have had
this experience where we agree with something but not one hundred percent. ItIs important
in cases like this to use your intonation to indicate that you are not in in a hundred percent
agreement.
Roza

David raised the “right” at the end to give it a little bit more uncertainty?
