👉 into のイメージ「内部へ・中に」▶︎「衝突」につながります。

Dialogue で

① Did you have a nice weekend?
👉さあ、ここでの Did you have a nice weekend? もちろん簡単な文では
あります。ですが、こういうことが言えるかどうかっというのがポイント
なんですよね。しっかりと覚えておきましょう。

② He must be popular with the girls.
👉さあ、ここの He must be というフレーズ。must は「〜に違いない」
という確信の意味を表しています。

③ Too popular.
👉さあ、最初のフレーズ “Too popular.” too というのは
「〜すぎる」というわけですね。「〜すぎてできない」とか、不都合とか
そうしたネガティブな内容が思い起こされます。

④ He spends too much time on his phone.
👉そして、He spends …これが現在形です。「彼は習慣的に費やしている」
という意味合いで現在形となっているわけです。

▶︎ OK, guys. Here we’re again. It’s practice time.
So it’s our second practice with “into.” And this time we’re gonna focus on
“figurative” uses. But don’t forget the basic image which implies some kind
of movement. OK?

▶︎ And remember to think in English. Let’s get into it.

You can feel the movement, of course, with growing, right?

And you can feel the movement of studies there.
Get into it, move into it, study a lot more. One more time.
