前置詞の学習です。

▶︎ Hey, everyone. Akino Roza here. Let’s get started before Onishi

▶︎ Chris McVay here. Sorry, guys. I’ve just been jogging before
coming here. So let’s get started!

Dialogue で

① I’m not your little android girl anymore.
👉さあ、ここで I’m not your little android girl anymore. というですね、
文が出てきました。not 〜 anymore が含まれてましたね。
「もはや〜でない」という定番表現 – しっかりと覚えておきましょう。

② I am worried. 【読み方】
👉さあ、今のクリスさんの発音に気がつきましたか。
I am worried. と be動詞を強調していましたね。文全体を強調する
形です。しっかりと be動詞を強く読む – このポイントを頭に入れて下さい。

③ We like to behave like regular people.
👉さあ、ここで behave「振る舞う」というわけですね。
behave like 〜「〜のように振る舞う」
👉その後ろが問題ですね。
– regular people これを「普通の人間」という意味合いで使っている
わけですね。
Onishi
▶︎ Can “ordinary people” be used here?

Roza
▶︎ Well, “ordinary” has kind of a nuance of “looking down.”
So I would say it’s not very good to use here.

Chris
▶︎ Yeah. I think it’s better to use “regular” because “regular” is
a neutral word. So it’s safe.

After the Dialogue

Chris
▶︎ Well, I guess many of you listen to our program just before breakfast.

Let’s look at “before.” A – B – C, 1 – 2 – 3. It’s all about “order.”
A comes before B, B before C. I before 2, 2 before 3. You got it?
OK. With that in mind, let’s practice together. Here we go!

This is talking about “importance,” right?
・Business before pleasure.

▶︎ OK. Let’s keep going.
So this is from the dialogue.

So you came – What order? What order? What order? – before him.
That’s all.
