2月のテーマは受動態・比較
👉2月号のテーマは「受動態・比較」。
– 今まで学んだ配置の知識を使って表現の場を広げていきます。
▶︎今週はまず「受動態」から始まります。
Lesson 203 受動態③:受動態で使われる前置詞

※「私の体は止められない武器だ!」
Roza
▶︎ What?
Onishi
▶︎ I did five sit-ups this morning.
Roza
▶︎ Sensei, even if you do five sit-ups, it’s not gonna
help you lose weight, you know. You need to do proper exercise.
Akino Roza here.
Chris
▶︎ Chris McVay here. Ah, guys! We have an emergency.
Roza
▶︎ What?
Chris

Practice with Chris
▶︎ OK, guys. You’re ready to practice the key sentence?
Well, you know, a lot of learners tell me that the passive
-受動態- is really difficult.
But actually it’s exactly the same as the verb “to be” – is, was,
has been, etc plus an adjective.
※”He is happy,” for example.
In stead of that, in stead of the adjective,
you just put the past participle – 過去分詞 -. Let’s try together.
An alien spacecraft has been spotted in orbit around Mars.
OK? Simple, simple, simple in your mind.
Let’s try. One last time.
An alien spacecraft has been spotted in orbit around Mars.
Wonderful! Well done, guys,
朝めし前だよ!
Grammar In Action – com[pan]y について
▶︎ By the way, “com[pan]y” is an interesting word.
If you look at it closely, you’ve got [p・a・n] – pan, which everyone
understands to be “bread,” right?
So call together, it’s sharing bread with somebody.
Therefore, a friend like a companion as well exists, OK?
Ending
Onishi
▶︎ Hey, Roza. Do you really think that a man is known by
the company he keeps?
Roza
▶︎ Yeah, definitely, which is why you’re a really lucky guy,
you’re always surrounded by me and Chris.
We give a good impression of you.
Onishi
▶︎ Umm.
Chris
▶︎ I hope it’s not true, because I spend time with you, Sensei!
Words and Phrases
