12月のテーマも、判断を表現する

👉今年度は…
「感謝したい」「頼み事をしたい」といった、
発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。
などへとゆっくり進めていきます。

◎12月は
▶︎先月に引き続き「発言タイプ」ー【判断を表現する】を勉強します。
「失敗」「成功」「類似・同一・相違」や「決定」「決意表明」「相手の都合を尋ねる」など
「これから」に関わる表現を学んでいきましょう。

▶︎「これは失敗だ」という判断を伝える表現を学びましょう。

会話の場面

・アレックス (Alexis) とキャスパー (Casper) の若夫婦

状況

・ジジラ (Zizilla)のフィギュアが話題です。キャスパーがジジラのフィギュアが入っている箱を探しているようですが …

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. This is David … Ah, ah, I really messed up.
I mean This is Akino Roza.

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. Oh, I can’t believe it’s December already.
OK, you two. let’s do our best.

Dialogue で

① I threw it away last night. 【 throw away の意味】
👉さあ、throw away「投げすてる、すてる」という表現ですね。
それの過去形が、threw away。

② Today was the garbage day for cardboard.【 cardboard の意味】
👉そして、cardboard という単語が出てきました。これは、ダンボールのことです。
覚えといてください。

③ The figure is worth less without it. 【 worth less の意味 – worthless の違い】
👉 worth less というフレーズが出てきました。worth「〜の価値がある」というわけです。
worth less ですと「より少ない価値がある」つまり「価値が下がる」というわけですね。
▶︎これが、もう１単語になって、worthless となると「価値がない」という意味になるので
注意してください。
